Final Dvd Cover and poster

This is the third draft of my Dvd cover.
I had forgotten to change the title on the previous dvd cover which was the doll house to the current title of our movie The Sacrifice. Audience feed back was that the back of the dvd cover was too barren so I decided to use quotes from magazine reviews to help fill the large spaces that were there.

I was also informed that there were no age certifications on my dvd casing meaning the audience could not tell what the legal age requirement of the movie was. This was rectified by placing a 15 certificate on the front and back of the case.

My dvd cover follows conventions such as having a brief summary  on the back of the case so potential audience members can have a brief understanding of what the movie is about. The font used for the title is made to be shaped like blood and is colored red this helps inform the audience that the genre of the movie is horror. There are also movie reviews on the case so the audience know that the movie has been highly
praised.

The audience feed back on the poster was that there was too much blank space. To fill this blank space I used a tagline and a review of the movie. These are conventions typical to a movie poster so it was necessary that I added them anyway. I also added the name of some of the institutions that would be involved in the production of the film at the bottom of the poster, this is yet another convention of movie posters. This feature is helpful as it means that institutions can gain publicity along with the movie and this could help them in future projects.
